Experience:

  • Minimum 3 Years proven experience working with NGOs, health-related programs at community setting or eye care project or Sales- Marketing Job experience preferable.  

Skills:

  • People management, Leadership and motivational skills, Written and verbal communication skills in Bengali & English.

  • Motor cycle driving.    

  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, especially MS Excel, Power Point etc.)      

  • Should have proper knowledge about Bangladesh Health Sector.

  • Should have service-related technical knowledge.

  • Should have adequate skill on community mobilization.

  • Should have proper reporting skill both online and offline.

  • Should have efficiencies in eye screening camp conduction.

  • Communication skills at community.


Responsibilities & Context

Major Job Responsibility:

To support in implementation of the eye care projects effectively and efficiently.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee overall field operations of the RGIL project under the guidance of the Field Operations Manager.

  • Coordinate with project staffs and MF staff to ensure effective implementation and performance improvement.

  • Mentor and build capacity of Volunteers and POs through hands-on training and regular supervision, especially in eye care practices.

  • Follow up community-based eye screening camps in schools, colleges, clubs, markets, mosques, and SAJIDA Foundation field offices.

  • Cross check the eye screening, identification process and ensure accurate dispensing of powered reading glasses for ensuring program quality at field level.  

  • Supervise, motivate and lead field level staff to achieve monthly targets with quality service delivery.

  • Establish a referral system for non-presbyopia cases requiring further treatment.

  • Support field team to prepare effective action plan and Generate Innovative Ideas or activities to create demand at community level.

  • Track and evaluate field performance against targets; prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of assigned areas.

  • Evaluate the performance of team members, identify training needs and development needs and provide necessary support.

  • Manage reading glasses inventory, process requisitions, and deposit income from sales as per financial policy.

  • Liaise with government and non-government stakeholders for strengthened collaboration.

  • Develop and implement effective field operation plans for assigned areas.

  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality, compliance, and smooth project execution.

  • Promote safeguarding by preventing harm, abuse, and exploitation; uphold and report in line with safeguarding policies to maintain a safe, transparent, and accountable work environment.

Minor Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly action plan.

  • Prepare a success story of the project each month and send to HO including photos and signed consent forms.

  • Attend various meetings and training sessions as required.

  • Organize and celebrate national days related to eye care.

  • Prepare online and off reports as per project needs.

  • Follow up App base data collection.

  • Any other task assigned by organization.
