  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in training, capacity building, or learning & development roles in community health-related programs or eye care project or s development projects.

  • Experience in Reporting, documentation, case story writing, and knowledge management.

  • Experience in mobile or web base data collection tools.

Skills:

  • Strong facilitation skills with ability to engage diverse groups (field staff, volunteers, community members).

  • Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English (written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for training and documentation.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to implementing districts.

  • Ethical practice.

Responsibilities & Context

Major Job Responsibility: Become a Master Trainer for vision screening and correction by reading glasses to train Program Officer & community volunteers for effective and efficient implementation of eye care projects.

Training & Capacity Building:

Develop and deliver training sessions on:

  • Basic eye health and common eye diseases (refractive errors, cataract, glaucoma, etc.)

  • Vision screening techniques.

  • Referral pathways and follow-up mechanisms.

  • Use and maintenance of eye care tools and equipment

  • Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) for project staff and community volunteers.

  • Customize training materials based on local context and participant needs.

  • Ensure gender-sensitive, inclusive, and participatory training approaches.

  • Mentor and build capacity of Community Volunteers and POs through hands-on training and regular supervision, especially in eye care practices.

  • Identify training and development needs of field staff and conduct refresher training and on-the-job coaching to ensure consistent quality of service delivery.

Materials Development

  • Prepare training modules, manuals, presentations, job aids, and IEC materials.

  • Adapt national and WHO eye care guidelines into practical training tools.

  • Update training content based on project learning and feedback.

  • Capture, document, and disseminate success stories, lessons learned, and innovative

Field Support & Mentoring

  • Observe field activities to ensure correct application of training.

  • Identify capacity gaps and recommend refresher training.

  • Follow up community-based eye screening camps in schools, colleges, clubs, markets, mosques, and SAJIDA Foundation field offices.

  • Cross check the screening, identification process and ensure accurate dispensing of powered reading glasses.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on training activities, volunteer engagement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning outcomes.

  • Maintain training records, attendance sheets, and evaluation reports.

  • Contribute to project reports by documenting training achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly action plan.

  • Maintain accurate training records both offline and online.

  • Prepare a success story of the project each month and send to HO including photos and signed consent forms.

  • Attend various meetings and training sessions as required.

  • Any other task assigned by organization.

  • Promote safeguarding by preventing harm, abuse, and exploitation; uphold and report in line with safeguarding policies to maintain a safe, transparent, and accountable work environment.
