Job Description

Responsibilities & Context

The role will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring availability of medicines, and maintaining accurate stock management at the pharmacy. The role will ensure proper handling of medicines, compliance with DGDA standards, and excellent customer service to achieve sales targets while supporting smooth pharmacy operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall financial goals of the pharmacy.
  2. Ensure availability of all essential medicines and health products.
  3. Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory management.
  4. Raise timely purchase requests to prevent stockouts.
  5. Monitor and control expired products to ensure proper disposal.
  6. Conduct and support monthly stock reconciliation and reporting.
  7. Update sales and stock information in software systems accurately.
  8. Ensure compliance with DGDA regulations and proper medicine storage practices.
  9. Provide excellent customer service, including guidance on medicines and basic health products.
  10. Support promotional and awareness activities within the pharmacy.
  11. Assist in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and proper arrangement of stock.
  12. Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams for smooth operations.
  13. Escalate discrepancies, shortages, or compliance issues to the supervisor promptly.
  14. Participate in periodic audits and inspections of pharmacy operations.
  15. Uphold ethical standards and ensure patient safety in dispensing medicines.

 

Requirements

  1. Knowledge of medicine categories, DGDA compliance, and pharmacy operations
  2. Ability to operate POS/pharmacy software and manage inventory
  3. Strong customer service and communication skills
  4. Detail-oriented, ethical, and accuracy-focused in handling medicines
  5. 1–2 years experience in pharmacy or retail sales
