Responsibilities & Context

Job Location: UCEP Hafiz Mazumdar  Institute of Science  & Technology, Sylhet

Job PurposeThe Admission & Career Counsellor will be responsible for leading the overall admission and career counseling department.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure outstanding growth and consistency in admissions.

  • Motivate students for admission in UIST.

  • Perform outreach programs in schools.

  • Keep relations with school teachers and prospective students.

  • Manage inventory of communication materials.

  • Phone counseling to prospective students & teachers.

  • Physical counseling to the visitors.

  • Maintain BTEB admission portal.

  • Keep record of all admission files.

  • Maintain database of admission.

  • Visit industry for internship and placement activities of UIST.

  • Maintain database of industry visit, placements & internships.

  • Counsel 7th & 8th semester students for career planning.

  • Keep liaison with HoDs for admission, internships & placement.

  • Coordinate the placement & internship activities with the Job Placement Cell of the Regional Office. 

  • Maintain UPMIS portal & database.

  • Assist Principal in raising funds for the institute. 

  • Proactive participation in different programs and development initiatives of UIST.   

  • Any other duties/work assigned by the management from time to time.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Monthly Salary: Consolidated BDT. 25,000/- TDS (Tax deducted at source) and any other statutory deductions will be applied as per government rules and UCEP policies.

Other Benefits: As per the policies of UCEP Polytechnic.
