Job Description

Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure and monitor the overall safety measures of the staff and assets of the organization.
  • Guide and monitor occupational health and safety of all the staff.
  • Ensure monitoring and regular inspection of site’s fire detection & protection system, actively running at all Aarong’s entities.
  • Guarantee quality monitoring and optimize safety team rosters for productivity.
  • Confirm timely maintenance of firefighting equipment and maintain accurate records of inspections.
  • Coordinate with concerned departments/Aarong outlets/Emergency Response Team / Fire Safety & Civil Defence / RAJUK etc. to ensure workplace safety and safe exit.
  • Enhance efficiency, develop team skills aligned with BRAC’s values.
  • Ensure staff spontaneously engaging on occupational health safety, fire safety of Aarong establishments.
  • Ensure all safety-related equipment is well-maintained and functioning error-free across all BRAC-Aarong establishments.
  • Raise awareness about occupational health and safety among a large number of field staff.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
