Additional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Local Purchase Orders (LPO), contract management, domestic trade terms, and local tax regulations (e.g., VAT/Mushak and withholding tax).

  • Experience in domestic logistics tracking, fleet coordination, and warehouse delivery schedule management.

  • Proven stakeholder management and strategic supplier relationship skills, with a focus on local market dynamics and vendor negotiation.

  • Expert Local Vendor Communication and strategic relationship management to ensure supply continuity.

  • Domestic Pipeline Management and real-time tracking proficiency for inland transport and local deliveries.

  • Analytical Skills for measuring vendor lead times, cost-saving initiatives, and local procurement reporting.

  • Knowledge of Local Commercial Terms, contract law, and domestic tax/VAT compliance (e.g., Mushak 6.3 documentation).

  • Problem-solving and Decision-making capabilities regarding local supply disruptions or quality non-conformity.

  • Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), e-procurement tools, and the MS Office Suite.

  • Time Management for handling multiple local product portfolios and high-frequency delivery schedules.

  • Cross-functional Coordination and stakeholder engagement, particularly with internal production, finance, and warehouse teams.


Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

 

This role encompasses comprehensive local supplier management, including communication of Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and contract amendments. The position is responsible for tracking the domestic goods-in-transit pipeline, managing local delivery schedules, and ensuring the timely collection and verification of VAT-compliant invoices and delivery notes.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery of locally purchased goods.

  • Maintain a detailed and accurate pipeline of goods in transit across all supplier portfolios

  • Maintain and enforce strict shipment and delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfilment

  • Ensure proper documentation and bill submission

  • Follow up on supplier payment disbursement and resolve payment-related queries

  • Generate comprehensive reports for respective portfolios and measure supplier performance against targets

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding delivery of goods and fulfilment updates

  • Identify trends in supplier performance and recommend improvement actions

  • Support the Management in developing and refining supplier management processes

  • Approve or reject supplier delivery documents and tax invoices based on local compliance standards (e.g., VAT/Mushak requirements) and quality specifications.

  • Adjust local delivery schedules and vehicle dispatch plans within authorized parameters to optimize warehouse receiving and inventory performance.

  • Escalate critical vendor non-compliance, local supply shortages, or transport disruptions to the Lead/Manager level for immediate resolution.
