Responsibilities & Context
Typing Speed: Most employers look for a minimum of 40 to 60 words per minute (WPM).
High Accuracy: Speed means nothing if the text is full of errors. A 98-100% accuracy rate is usually the standard.
Software Proficiency:Â Word Processors:Â Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word or Google Docs (formatting, tables, headers).
Spreadsheets:Â Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data entry.
Email:Â Proficiency in Outlook or Gmail for sending completed work.
Ten-Key Typing:Â If the job involves a lot of numbers, you`ll need to be fast with the numeric keypad (often measured in Keystrokes Per Hour or KPH).
