Job Description

Education

  • Master of Commerce (MCom)
  • Master`s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from any recognized university
  • Preferred Professional Certification: CA (part-1) CMA (Part-2), ACCA (part qualified)

Additional Requirements

  • Age At most 40 years
  • Skills Required: Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office programs for Office Management.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer Office programs for Office Management, Accounting Software, Tally, Oracle ERP, Payroll & Gratuity.
  • Sound Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Income Tax Ordinances.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

  • ABC is a non-profit making organization and is registered as a non-government organization with the Department of Social Services and the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. ABC has been working for Awareness building Blindness Prevention, Treatment, and educational programs for the visually impaired student. Training & Socio-economic rehabilitation of visually impaired children and youth since its inception for the development of blind children & youth in Bangladesh. ABC has been running two eye hospitals. To assist in maintaining the proper accounts of this organization, this position is based in ABC Eye Hospital, Salna, Gazipur.

Job Location

Job Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all types of transactions (in local/foreign currency) conform to the documents connected with various works.
  • To ensure cash management.
  • To prepare the budget for the organization.
  • To ensure timely payment of all Govt. dues. Agent/supplier payments, staff salaries, utility bills, and any other payments;
  • To prevent fraud, forgery, and misuse of money if there is any;
  • To make payment of Income Tax, VAT, Taxes, etc. in a planned way to avoid any types of hassles;
  • To finalize monthly as well as yearly financial accounts;
  • To maintain liaison with all bank and financial institutions;
  • To arrange foreign currency as per the requirement of the company staff;
  • To safeguard/the safety and security of all accounts-related documents including checkbooks;
  • To ensure the correctness of all receipt/payment vouchers and maintain them chronologically and easily traceable;
  • To prepare bank reconciliation statement by 1st week of next month;
  • To ensure maintenance of accounts/ledger as per the law of the land and ensure its safe custody;
  • Sound knowledge of VAT, Income Tax with laws;
  • To prepare salary certificate for the Individual employee for Income Tax purposes;
  • Knowledge of using accounting software e.g. Tally/QuickBooks etc.
  • To prepare Trial Balance, Profit and Loss Accountant, and Balance Sheet;
  • Submission of Monthly/Half Yearly/Yearly Income Tax and VAT Returns and preparation of supporting documents and provide with the return. Pursue to receipt certificate from DCT alone or with the consultation of Income Tax Law Firms.
