Responsibilities & Context
BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.
In order to successfully implement Child Protection services, the Field Facilitator is responsible for conducting structured sessions on psychosocial support (PSS), life skills–based education (LSBE), Community-Based Child Protection Committee (CBCPC) meetings, positive parenting sessions, and outreach-based activities, including recreational support. To ensure adequate and effective service delivery, this position will maintain regular engagement with children, adolescents, and the community.

Conduct home-to-home outreach to identify and register children and adolescents for Child Protection services, including structured PSS, LSBE sessions, and adolescent-led initiatives.

Facilitate the formation and functioning of Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs), as well as parents’ and caregivers’ committees, to ensure protection services for vulnerable children.

Identify and engage parents, caregivers, and community members through household visits and conduct positive parenting group sessions and trainings, CBCPC sessions, and community-led protection initiatives.

Plan and implement outreach-based Child Protection activities, ensuring inclusion of hard-to-reach and at-risk children and adolescents.

Organize and facilitate adolescent group sessions and trainings, including LSBE, life skills, leadership, and resilience-building activities, with regular follow-up and participation tracking.

Conduct women-led group sessions and trainings focusing on child protection, caregiving practices, psychosocial well-being, and community awareness.

Maintain attendance records and ensure regular follow-up of children and adolescents participating in MPC/Drop-In Centre activities and outreach sessions.

Develop the capacity of volunteers working inside Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescent Centres (MPCs) and in the community, through coaching, mentoring, and refresher trainings.

Ensure timely documentation, recording, and reporting of day-to-day MPC/Drop-In Centre activities and submit regular reports to relevant supervisors and authorities.
Safeguarding

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.Â

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
