Job Description

Education

  • Have a Biomedical Engineering degree.

Experience

    • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency, Consulting Firms

Additional Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Bio-medical engineering field or similar project, particularly in MGPS and oxygen manifold system including establishing Liquid Medical Oxygen (VIE) System or similar work experiences in medical gas line development.

Duty Station: Office base- BCO/FO, Partner/IP Office

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Contract Type: Contract with E-zone

Contract Start Date: 4th Jan 2026

Reporting to: Health Officer

A. Purpose

The purpose of the consultancy is to provide overall technical support to the UNICEF supported projects particularly evaluating the cost, installation, commissioning, monitoring, operation and maintenance and quality control of TB, lead detecting and oxygen related equipment and infrastructure support such as oxygen concentrators, cylinders, pulse oximeters, medical gas pipelines, SCANU related equipment such as bubble CPAP, radiant warmer, baby cot, ICU beds and lastly conducting the technical evaluation of the other high technical laboratory equipment.
