Job Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of category management principles, merchandising, and retail strategies.Understanding of the non-pharma market, including consumer trends and competitive landscape.Familiarity with supplier management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum (Years): 5-10 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.

Responsibilities & Context

Develop and execute the category strategy for non-pharmaceutical products (e.g., Food, Non-Food, personal care, medical devices, baby care etc.).

Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities and optimize the existing assortment.

Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation.

Set competitive pricing strategies and plan promotional campaigns to drive sales and market share for non-pharma categories.

Collaborate with marketing teams to develop category-specific marketing and merchandising initiatives.

Work closely with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.

Monitor and analyze category performance (sales, margins, sell-through rates) and provide regular reports and actionable insights to leadership.

Ensure all products comply with relevant quality and regulatory standards.
