Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. Certification in Category Management or Supply Chain is a plus.

Job Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of category management principles, merchandising, and retail strategies.Understanding of the non-pharma market, including consumer trends and competitive landscape.Familiarity with supplier management, procurement processes, and inventory control.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum (Years): 5-10 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and execute the category strategy for non-pharmaceutical products (e.g., Food, Non-Food, personal care, medical devices, baby care etc.).

  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities and optimize the existing assortment.

  • Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation.

  • Set competitive pricing strategies and plan promotional campaigns to drive sales and market share for non-pharma categories.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop category-specific marketing and merchandising initiatives.

  • Work closely with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.

  • Monitor and analyze category performance (sales, margins, sell-through rates) and provide regular reports and actionable insights to leadership.

  • Ensure all products comply with relevant quality and regulatory standards.
