Responsibilities & Context
- Develop and create accurate patterns for intimate apparel (lingerie, bras, underwear, shapewear, nightwear, etc.) ensuring correct fit, comfort, and functionality.
- Review and interpret design sketches, tech packs, and size specifications to translate them into workable patterns.
- Conduct fittings on mannequins and live models; make necessary pattern corrections to achieve buyer-approved fit.
- Ensure proper grading, size set development, and pattern adjustments based on buyer comments and feedback.
- Work closely with the sample room, technical, and merchandising teams to ensure on-time sample submission.
- Apply knowledge of fabric behavior, stretch properties, and sewing techniques to develop patterns suitable for intimate apparel.
- Collaborate with garment technologists and IE teams to ensure patterns are production-friendly and cost-effective.
- Provide technical guidance to sample makers and sewing operators on pattern details and construction methods.
- Maintain digital and manual pattern libraries for future reference and style consistency.
- Support production teams in resolving pattern-related issues during bulk manufacturing.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and buyer compliance across all patterns and samples.
