Responsibilities & Context

Manage and oversee all legal affairs related to civil and land issues for Lantabur Group, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Advise the company’s management and relevant departments on legal rights, risks, and options concerning property, land acquisition, disputes, contracts, and other civil matters.

Conduct due diligence and provide legal clearance on land and property transactions, including title verification, mutation, and land registration processes.

Prepare, review, and file a range of legal documents such as agreements, petitions, complaints, and notices concerning civil and land-related matters.

Represent the company in all civil and land-related court cases, arbitrations, and legal proceedings with government authorities, land offices, and regulatory bodies.

Negotiate and resolve land disputes, encroachments, and boundary issues, striving for out-of-court settlements when appropriate to protect the company’s interests.

Investigate and collect evidence regarding land rights, boundaries, and encumbrances; liaise with surveyors, local administrations, and law enforcement as necessary.

Keep the management updated on the status of all legal cases, regulatory changes, and potential risks affecting the company’s land assets and civil matters.

Collaborate closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of land acquisitions, disposals, and compliance obligations.

Stay abreast of changes in civil law, property law, and regulatory requirements affecting the RMG sector in Bangladesh.

Undertake any other legal assignments as directed by top management in line with the company’s civil and land interests.
