Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • Several years of experience practicing criminal law.
  • Must be enrolled as an Advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Bangladesh’s criminal legal system, including relevant statutes and case law. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate.
  • Strong critical thinking, research, and problem-solving abilities to analyze complex legal issues.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Represent Lantabur Group in criminal proceedings, ensuring the company’s interests are protected and all legal risks are minimized throughout any judicial process.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of criminal law and regulations relevant to the RMG sector, including industry-specific compliance and risk mitigation for export-oriented businesses.

  • Advise management and relevant departments on legal options, the potential impact of criminal charges, and the best strategies for safeguarding the company’s reputation and assets.

  • Prepare, review, and file all necessary legal documents on behalf of the company, including complaints, affidavits, motions, appeals, and other filings required to protect Lantabur Group’s legal interests.

  • Investigate cases and collect evidence pertinent to the company’s legal matters, whether defending against or initiating criminal proceedings.

  • Effectively present arguments, evidence, and witnesses before courts and legal authorities, ensuring the company’s position is articulated with clarity and authority.

  • Negotiate with opposing counsel, prosecutors, or regulatory agencies to secure favorable resolutions or settlements for the company.

  • Provide ongoing counsel to senior management on evolving legal risks, policy changes, and necessary compliance measures.

  • Undertake any other legal assignments as directed by top management to protect and advance Lantabur Group’s interests.
