Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is must.

  • Strong analytical sense and strong negotiation skill.

  • Experience with Modern Distribution & Retail Systems in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities & Context

A leading international convenience store chain, and one of the largest in its home country is entering Bangladesh retail market through a joint venture with Kazi Farms Limited. With an ambitious vision to set new benchmarks in retail customer experience, the project is currently in its pre-opening phase. To be part of this exciting journey, we are seeking a competent Executive/ Sr. Executive, Procurement to oversee and coordinate all functions in close collaboration with both the international project team and local stakeholders.

 

Job Purpose:

 

The Executive/Sr. Executive, Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality and delivery, in alignment with overall business objectives. To ensure the procurement of a complete, competitive and strategically aligned merchandise range that supports the company’s sales, gross margin, and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Propose new product offers from suppliers to relevant internal teams.

  • Monitor and evaluate product sales performance against company standards, recommending alternative products where necessary.

  • Oversee product distribution and ensure accurate placement in stores through coordination with Operations.

  • Plan and execute the procurement of promotional and newly approved items in line with company guidelines.

  • Identify and recommend high-potential suppliers for evaluation.

  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on service levels and business needs.

  • Coordinate with the Operations team to manage returns for slow-moving, expired, or overstocked products, and oversee the clearance process per company regulations.

  • Recommend and implement purchase and selling prices according to company pricing policies and upon superior approval.
