Job Description

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Information Systems / MIS, Statistics, Urban & Regional Planning (URP) or other relevant subject from any UGC approved university or institute

Experience

    • At least 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

KNOWLEDGE: BRAC’s values and mission, development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, financial and grants management, donor agencies, monitoring and evaluation of performance of projects

SKILLS: Budgeting and accounting, accounting software skills, communication, researching, writing, monitoring and evaluating, preparing reports, auditing, analysing budgets

COMPETENCIES: Facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with the relevant stakeholders

 


Responsibilities & Context

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This position is responsible for strengthening data management, analysis, and information systems to support effective planning, monitoring, and decision-making within the Education Programme under HCMP. The role ensures the availability of high-quality, timely, and actionable data through strong MIS, dashboards, and reporting systems

  • Supervise and coordinate data collection processes across field teams and implementing partners, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and compliance with programme standards.

  • Establish and maintain data quality assurance mechanisms, including routine validation, verification checks, and troubleshooting of data discrepancies.

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, visual analytics, and summary reports to support programme performance tracking, management decision-making, and donor reporting.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to sector teams on the use of data collection tools, MIS platforms, reporting templates, and data visualization best practices.

  • Work closely with the MEAL team to align indicators, reporting frameworks, and data flows to support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning objectives.

  • Lead and facilitate capacity-building initiatives for staff and partners on data management, data quality, analysis, and the effective use of information for programme improvement.

  • Support implementing partners in strengthening their data management systems, reporting compliance, and timely submission of quality programme data.

  • Manage and maintain structured documentation, data repositories, and archiving systems, ensuring accessibility, version control, and institutional knowledge retention.

  • Prepare and disseminate knowledge products, analytical briefs, and key reports for internal stakeholders and external donors, as required.

  • Ensure adherence to data protection, confidentiality, and ethical data management principles in line with organizational and donor requirements. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
