Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years in Corporate Affairs, PR, Regulatory affairs, External Relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, public policy, media relations, and strategic communications.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments, government processes, and industry dynamics.
  • Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Crisis management skills with a proactive approach to reputational risk.
  • Excellent understanding of media trends, public policy, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and navigate complex situations.

Responsibilities & Context

This role is to develop and execute the company’s external communications, stakeholder relations, and reputation management strategies. This role is critical in positioning the organization effectively in the market and fostering its public image.

The position involves building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory authorities, media, industry partners, and the general public, to advance the company’s strategic goals and enhance its reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Affairs & Strategic Communication:
  • Create and execute corporate communication plans to strengthen the company’s reputation and improve brand perception.
  • Oversee messaging across various channels, ensuring that internal and external communication aligns with organizational goals.
  • Write, review, and manage official statements, press releases, and speeches for senior leadership.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the leadership team on issues related to public relations, corporate affairs, and external communication.
  • Cultivate Relationships with Media and Influencers – Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, journalists, and key industry influencers to ensure consistent, accurate, and positive media coverage.
  • Regulatory Affairs:
  • Advocate for the company’s strategic goals by actively participating in forums, industry conferences, and high-level discussions.
  • Keep a close watch on regulatory, legislative, and policy changes that may impact the organization.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other key organizations.
  • Track and ensure timely responses to regulatory agency queries. Ensure product promotional materials, labeling, and test methods comply with regulations.
  • Stay updated on existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents.
  • Design and implement strategic programs to strengthen relationships with policymakers and regulatory bodies.
  • Cultivate Relationships with Media and Influencers – Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, journalists, and key industry influencers to ensure consistent, accurate, and positive media coverage.
