Requirements
Education
- Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade out of which one First Class/Div/A Grade in Undergraduate/ Graduate Program.
- At least 07 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 03 years as an Assistant Professor.
- Must have 05 publications to his/her credit, out of which 3 publications as Asst Professor.
OR
- M.Phil in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade.
- At least 08 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 04 years as an Assistant Professor.
- Must have 05 publications to his/her credit, out of which 3 publications as Assistant Professor.
- No Third Division/Class/ C Grade is acceptable.
OR
- M.Sc and B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least 03 x First Class/Div/A Grade in the entire educational curriculum.
- At least 10 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 04 years as an Assistant Professor.
- Must have 06 publications to his/her credit, out of which 4 publications as Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities & Context
- Position Location: BAIUST, Cumilla
- Subject Areas: Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Position Description: BAIUST invites applications for the position of Professor/ Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach undergraduate courses in accordance with the university’s approved curriculum, emphasizing core areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Actively contribute to the academic, administrative, and developmental growth of the Department.
- Provide leadership and service within the Department and to the broader academic and professional communities.
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable journals.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to effective undergraduate instruction, course innovation, and student mentoring in research and professional development.
- Ensure that teaching content is informed by current research and supports scholarly activity.
- Develop inclusive and effective teaching methods to address diverse learning needs.
- Play an active role in preparing the Department for national and international accreditation processes.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the University Authority.
Compensation & Other Benefits
- As per the University’s Service Policy. For reference, the total gross salary is BDT 1,25,000 for Associate Professor (Grade-4).
- Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
