Education

  • Bachelor/Masters (Entomology, Social Science, Development studies, Civil Engineer, URP, Public health, Food and Nutrition) in any reputed goverment recognized instituition.

Experience

Responsibilities & Context

This Position will be responsible for supervision of the overall WASH activities, Coordination, facilitate hygiene relevant training, meetings and reporting the WASH activities to concerned stakeholders.

  • Liaising and coordination with all humanitarian partners and stakeholders working in the sites.

  • Timely reporting any gaps and/or duplication in service delivery and advocating through the appropriate mechanism for achieving agreed minimum standards and service delivery quality.

  • Attend sector meeting and arrange partner meeting for mitigating the risk and challenges as being focal of WASH agency.

  • In collaboration with Project Manager implementing the activities and extensive field visits as per annual plan and day-to-day procurement and logistic support in line with BRAC policy.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly narrative progress reports, and organize monthly and quarterly progress reviews.

  • Monitor project input and activities and manage progress against the outcomes defined in the project document and provide technical guidance and supervision.

  • Facilitate donors to conduct field visits as and when required.

  • Organizing capacity building training and develop BCC/IEC materials related to the hygiene activities and design the module.

  • Through community hygiene promoters, conduct daily field visit to ensure WASH facilities functional that the whole WASH system is well functional with less risks and other WASH facilities to ensure best uses.

  • Follow and ensure that gender inclusion, protection, local culture, and other important cross-cutting concerns are taken into account in program implementation and reporting.

  • Plan and ensure the distribution of hygiene kits and promote effective use of all distributed hygiene items and conduct Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) for Hygiene kits and top up kits distribution beside other hygiene materials.

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
