At least 1 year of experience as a waiter/waitress (preferably in a cafe or casual dining setting)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills for handling cash and POS systems

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities & Context
-
Greet and welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner
-
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
-
Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff
-
Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
-
Check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining area
-
Handle customer payments and provide change or receipts as necessary
-
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
-
Work collaboratively with kitchen and cafe team members
-
Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation

Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
