Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from a reputed university

Additional Requirements

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reputed local or MNC.

Knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes (Upper making, lasting, sole attaching).

Proficiency in CAD/CAM for pattern cutting and layout.

Strong analytical, data-driven mindset, and proficiency in MS Excel.

Understanding of lean tools (5S, Kanban).
Responsibilities & Context
Key Job Responsibilities (Footwear IE):

Based on industry standards and typical job descriptions, the responsibilities of an IE in a footwear factory include:

Work Study & Time Motion Studies: Analyzing the production process to set Standard Minute Values (SMV/SAM) for cutting, stitching, and assembly.

Method Improvement & Process Mapping: Developing, reviewing, and optimizing the manufacturing sequence, from cutting to lasting and packaging.

Cost Estimation & Management: Conducting pre-order and post-order cost analyses to control labor and material expenses.
-
WIP (Work in Process) Control: Reducing work-in-process to improve flow and decrease inventory costs.

Operator Training & Efficiency Tracking: Monitoring the performance of production workers and training them in more efficient methods.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation: Applying tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to eliminate non-value-added processes.

Quality Control Coordination: Ensuring that efficiency improvements do not compromise product quality.

Capacity Planning: Determining the maximum production capability of the factory to meet delivery deadlines.
