Job Description
Education
- Honors/ Masters in Animal Husbandry/DVM or Advanced degree in Animal Science, Livestock Management
Experience

Experience on livestock value chain development and market systems.

Strong knowledge of animal health, husbandry, and sustainable livestock practices.

Team building capacity.

Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.

Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali.

Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity.

Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary.

Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license.

Able to operate virtual platform like Zoom/Team etc.
Responsibilities & Context
-
Regular follow up and monitoring of livestock related IGAs giving emphasis to emergency
-
Beneficiaries’ Livestock Value Chain Analysis & Development and guidance on bio-security.
-
Support on market systems strengthening, monitor on animal health and productivity
-
Capacity Building for Self Help Group, Aggregation Center, Agriculture Business Service Center and project staff.
-
Lead private sector engagement for input supply, mechanization, processing, and market linkages.Â
-
Support ACs and ABSCs to develop commercially viable business models.Â
-
Facilitate on livestock contract farming, forward sales, and backward linkages.Â
-
Livestock research, trial and observation at farmer’s field.
-
Maintain liaison and coordinate with relevant Government departments (DAE, DLS)
-
Execute campaign for vaccination and deworming.
-
Conduct different meeting, training, workshop and other event activities on livestock.
