Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
Zubion Development Solutions Limited (ZDSL), a reputed real estate company in Bangladesh, is looking for a highly competent and experienced Head of Legal & Compliance (AM/DM/ Manager/ Sr. Manager) to lead its Legal & Land Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all legal, land, and corporate compliance matters are properly managed and executed to protect the company’s interests and support its continued growth.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Legal & Compliance Management
- Oversee all legal and compliance functions of the company.
- Draft, review, and finalize agreements, MoUs, Power of Attorney (POA), legal notices, and board resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with land laws, company law, and all relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Handle litigation, contract negotiation, and corporate legal issues.
- Advise management on legal risks, contracts, and dispute resolutions.
2. Land & Real Estate Management
- Conduct legal and physical verification of land and property documents.
- Vet and verify all land-related papers such as C.S., S.A., R.S., City Jarip, Deed, Via Deed, Porcha, Warish Sonod, Wakalotnama, Dag, and Khatian.
- Supervise land registration, mutation, ownership verification, and documentation.
- Maintain and digitize all land and legal records.
3. Government Liaison & Stakeholder Relations
- Maintain effective liaison with civil courts, AC Land offices, DC offices, Survey and Settlement offices, Sub-Registry offices, and other government departments.
- Coordinate with external counsels and regulatory bodies for legal matters.
- Represent the company in hearings, registrations, and legal proceedings.
4. Corporate Affairs
- Oversee company legal compliance and registration issues.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations.
- Ensure ethical practices, transparency, and compliance across departments.
