Job Description

Education

  • Masters
  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Food and Nutrition Science, or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience

    • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in implementing and managing community and facility-based nutrition programs.
  • Proven expertise in CMAM, IYCF, nutrition surveillance, and capacity building.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-ethnic, or geographically challenging contexts such as the CHT is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in mentoring, coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with integrated programs involving WASH and livelihoods is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and spoken proficiency in English and Bangla.

Responsibilities & Context

POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Specialist, Nutrition will serve as a key technical expert for the project, supporting design, quality implementation, and monitoring of all nutrition interventions.
  • Reporting to the Manager, Nutrition the incumbent will provide technical input to ensure that all nutrition activities — including facility-based SAM management, community screening, IYCF counseling, and nutrition-sensitive livelihoods — are implemented according to national guidelines and Helen Keller Intl standards.
  • The Specialist, Nutrition will also mentor field staff, build capacity among partners and government counterparts, and ensure that nutrition interventions are effectively integrated with WASH and livelihood components.
