Responsibilities & Context

Alfamart, a leading Indonesian international convenience store chain and one of the largest in its home country, is entering the Bangladesh retail market through a joint venture with Kazi Farms Limited, under the name Alfamart Trading Bangladesh. With an ambitious vision to set new benchmarks in retail customer experience, the project is currently in its pre-opening phase. To be part of this exciting journey, we are seeking a competent Officer / Executive, Legal & Corporate Communication, to oversee and coordinate all functions in close collaboration with both the Indonesian project team and local stakeholders.

 

Job Purpose

The Officer / Executive, Legal & Corporate Communication, will support the department in managing legal documentation, compliance activities, and corporate communication initiatives. The role involves assisting in contract preparation and review, maintaining regulatory documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting internal and external communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing and maintaining various legal documents, contracts and agreements.

  • Support the development and maintenance of an organized document management system.

  • Coordinate with external legal counsel for documentation and compliance matters.

  • Monitor and update records related to licensing, permits and regulatory filings.

  • Help ensure company compliance with local laws, labor regulations and corporate policies.

  • Track and summarize changes in laws or regulations relevant to business operations.

  • Assist in preparing internal communication materials, press and corporate announcements.

  • Support community engagement initiatives.

  • Contribute to maintaining the company’s reputation and consistent brand communication.

  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure alignment in corporate messaging.

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all legal correspondence.

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for legal and communication projects.

  • Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations as needed by management.
