Responsibilities & Context

Project Summary:

Increased equitable access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities: Considering the varying vulnerabilities and needs of adolescent girls and young women, the project will have interventions for adolescent girls between ages 13-16 who are in, and out of, school as well as targeted interventions for young women between the age of 17-25 who are not in school, In short Promotion of Women’s Empowerment and Resilience Building (POWER) Project. 

Position Overview: 

  • Project Implementation: Execute field-level activities in alignment with the project plan, ensuring successful delivery of all project components.

  • Community Relations: Foster strong relationships with community members and maintain effective communication and coordination with government bodies, NGOs, private sector partners, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Networking: Establish and strengthen networks to enhance collaboration and resource sharing among stakeholders.

  • Reporting: Regularly report to the District Coordinator 

 

Job Responsibilities:

A) Project Implementation:

  • Ensure all project activities are completed according to design specifications and timelines.

  • Submit monthly work plans, reports, and monitoring updates to the District Coordinator.

  • Implement activities based on the approved budget and work plan.

  • Assist the District Coordinator in compiling reports, data, and relevant information as required.

  • Utilize proper monitoring tools to oversee program implementation.

  • Comply with financial policies and procedures in all project transactions.

  • Promote an equitable, women-friendly, and gender-sensitive work environment.

  • Undertake additional duties as necessary for project success.

  • Support the District Coordinator in stakeholder interactions and project program activation.

  • S/he will perform duties and responsibilities time to time assigned by the District Coordinator/authority.

B) Communication, networking and advocacy(Effective working relationship developed with stakeholders and three partners)

  • Maintain robust communication and coordination with government and relevant stakeholders.

  • Achieve at least 90% of the annual project plan.

  • Sensitize local stakeholders and cultivate relationships, particularly with schools and communities.

  • Facilitate participation of government and NGO representatives in workshops, meetings, training sessions, and observance days.

C) Training Facilitations and evaluation

  • Organize and facilitate Courtyard sessions, workshops, and community meetings.

  • Organize STEM, SEL sessions and science fair and career day at Scholl level. 

  • Facilitate SMC meeting at schools.

  • Utilize BCC/IEC materials tailored for specific age groups and segments during training.

  • Employ pre-selected messages for effective BCC activities.

  • Maintain training records for project stakeholders.

  • Document pre-test and post-test results for training programs.

  • Assist the District Coordinator in coordinating campaigns, fairs, and advocacy activities.

D) Reporting and Documentation (Ensured reporting and documentation)

  • Develop and submit reports punctually.

  • Document and preserve project-related records per the MEAL plan and QB standards.

  • Record innovations, case studies, and initiatives as directed by the District Coordinator.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports in compliance with POWER Project formats, including data entry as required.

  • Prepare quarterly case studies and success stories.

  • Ensure all reports and records are meticulously documented, including lessons learned and best practices.

  • Monthly Progress report submitted to District Coordinator 

E)Transformed communities

  • Empower communities through project activities, fostering active participation in entrepreneurships development, STEM & SEL sessions, workshops and seminars.

  • Organize campaigns and awareness programs tailored to community needs.

  • Establish linkages with relevant government and NGO organizations to enhance community resources.

  • Cultivate community leaders to support ongoing development efforts.

  • Foster young entrepreneurs within the community, providing guidance and support for their growth.
