Responsibilities & Context

  • Monitor and analyze the costs associated with sales, and operations, ensuring that all costs align with the company’s budget.

  • Ensure that costs are properly allocated to the respective departments or products, tracking direct and indirect costs.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with various departments to reduce unnecessary cost without compromising on quality.

  • Assist in preparing the annual budget for the company, considering revenue projections, operational costs, and expected market conditions.

  • Work closely with the sales, operations, procurement, inventory management and finance teams to gather data, understand business needs, and align cost and budget strategies accordingly.

  • Identify potential financial risks related to cost overruns, market fluctuations, and other variables that could impact the company’s bottom line.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and financial regulations to improve cost and budget processes.

  • Assisting in periodic inventory audit.

  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns (Mushak 9.1) along with other necessary documents such as Mushak 4.3, 6.3, 6.4, 6.6, and 6.10 as required by the VAT & SD Act 2012 and Rules 2016. Maintain all relevant records using NBR-approved VAT software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Use accounting software to track costs, manage budgets, and generate reports.
