Additional Requirements
- Proven Storytelling Skills: At least one years of experience writing for television, film, and television series, web series, or long-form online programs (such as short shorts). Please provide a comprehensive portfolio of scripts demonstrating your ability to craft long-term storytelling.
- Solid Screenwriting Skills: Must possess a strong understanding of dramatic structure, character development, and dialogue writing, capable of managing multiple narrative threads and writing detailed episode outlines.
- Deep Emotional Insight: Must be adept at capturing subtle emotions in everyday life, elevating simple moments like “sharing a bag of chips” into moving moments of friendship, love, or family.
- Brand Content Understanding: Must understand the unique nature of brand content and possess a passion for “infusing the brand with soul through compelling storytelling,” rather than simply viewing it as advertising.
- Excellent Teamwork: Must be the core creative force on a project, communicating effectively and professionally with directors, producers, and brand owners, and translating feedback into compelling storylines.
Responsibilities & Context
- Worldbuilding and Theme Positioning: Responsible for the core worldview, thematic concept, and overall story framework of the entire series. Ensure the core story aligns with the brand’s values of “happiness, sharing, and companionship.
- Epic Narrative Structure: Develop a complete season’s storyline and episode synopses, creating interlocking plot lines and gripping cliffhangers.
- Character Development: Create a cast of authentic, three-dimensional, and relatable characters, and develop compelling storylines and development arcs for them centered around potato chips. (For example: neighbors bonded over potato chips, colleagues defusing office politics over a shared snack, heartwarming stories about passing down a family’s secret potato chip recipe, etc.)
- Prime Script Writing: Independently complete the detailed script for each episode, including compelling dialogue, scene descriptions, and character actions, ensuring each episode has its own unique storyline and driving force behind the main plot.
- Brand Art Integration: Using superb storytelling techniques, integrate our potato chips naturally, movingly, and seamlessly into the plot, making them key elements that drive the plot and convey emotion, rather than just stilted props.
