Education
  • Bachelor/Honors, Masters in any discipline
Experience
  • At least 5 years
Additional Requirements
  • At least 5 year(s) in Sales and Marketing.
  • Proven broad commercial and operational experience in the sector.
  • A good understanding of transportation and in particular, international air & ocean freight shipping specifics.
  • Possess continuous drive to (further) develop sales activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
  • Strong teamwork skills, Time management, Self-managing and pro-active.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Industry: Logistic & Shipping Division (Specialized in NVOCC Handling)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a database of prospective clients.
  • Identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities.
  • Extensive Market & Industry research to Identify new opportunities.
  • Responsible for securing new customers, and maintaining and developing existing accounts.
  • Meet and exceed target set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the department.
  • Maintain records of customer details / sales visits.
  • Identify potential customers and register opportunities.
  • Regularly visit existing accounts validating our service levels and develop new revenue streams.
  • Negotiate with the accounts as per price guidelines given, looking to maximize profits.
  • Negotiate internally to provide best rates for import and export.
  • Take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability and take lead / responsibility to support business.
  • Ensuring integrity & accuracy in all pricing matters.
  • Establish & maintain a strong working relationship with customers/shippers.
  • Coordination with pricing and operations team.
  • Accuracy of all quotes, and timely issue to the customer.
  • New customers leading to new business.
  • Ensure enough commercial visits have been done to generate business.
  • Ensure quality of operations and customer satisfaction.
