Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) was established in 1972 by Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury with the vision of ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare for the rural population of Bangladesh. As part of this mission, Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College Hospital was founded in Savar in 1998.
