Minimum 7 years of experience in garment costing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory GSD role.

GSD License is mandatory.

Proficient in costing tools, GSD software, and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems in the apparel industry.

Knowledge of motion economy and time & motion studies.
Responsibilities & Context
1. Leadership & Team Management
-
Lead and mentor the GSD costing team to ensure accurate and timely SMV and costing target delivery.
-
Set team performance goals, conduct training, and foster continuous skill development in GSD and efficiency analysis.
2. GSD Costing & SMV Management
-
Oversee SMV creation, validation, and maintenance using GSD methodology.
-
Ensure SMV and costing targets align with industry standards and internal benchmarks.
3. Process Standardization & Improvement
-
Identify and implement method improvements and productivity enhancements through data-driven analysis.

Enforce consistent application of GSD rules across all styles and production units.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
-
Coordinate with product development, IE, merchandising, and planning teams for cost-based decision-making.

Participate in pre- and post-production meetings to validate costing accuracy and recommend process improvements.
5. Reporting & Compliance
-
Prepare detailed reports on SMV variance, costing performance, and efficiency trends for senior management.

Ensure compliance with GSD protocols and audit standards across costing documentation.
6. Software & Data Management
-
Manage and update the GSD operation database for all garment styles.
-
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance costing systems and tools as needed. . . . .
