Job Description

Education

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).

Experience

    • 1 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital nursing (experience in ophthalmology will be preferred).

  • Fresh graduates may also apply if willing to work in specialized eye care.

  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Good understanding of ophthalmic nursing care.

  • Strong communication and patient-handling skills.

  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

  • Compassionate and ethical approach to patient care.


Responsibilities & Context

About Us:

Youth for Bangladesh is a social voluntary organization of young people. It is primarily a non-profit, social development organization. Since 2009, Youth for Bangladesh has been working to meet the basic needs of the homeless, helpless, street children, and underprivileged people, as well as to eradicate hunger and poverty. At present, several of our social initiatives are ongoing, among which the notable ones are Valo Kajer Hotel, Daily Ten School, Apon Ghor Old Age Home, Apon Ghor Cancer Shelter Home, Eye Hospital and the Self-Reliance Project, and so on. Youth for Bangladesh is dedicated to providing healthcare services to the community. We are currently looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Nurse to join our team and assist in delivering high-quality ophthalmic care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Prepare patients for eye examinations and operations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and eye drops.
  • Monitor patients’ condition before, during, and after procedures.
  • Educate patients on eye care, medication use, and post-treatment guidelines.
  • Maintain proper medical records and ensure cleanliness in the working area.
