Job Description

Education

  • Diploma in Automobile Engineering from a reputed institute.
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
  • Professional training in transport management will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Real Estate, Group of Companies, Developer

Additional Requirements

  • Age 30 to 40 years
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

  • Good communication and reporting skills

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The Transport Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the Group’s end-to-end transportation and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective mobility support across the corporate office, construction projects, and subsidiary companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and control the overall transport operations of the Group, including corporate, project, and site vehicles.

  • Supervise drivers, transport supervisors, and related staff; ensure discipline, attendance, and performance management.

  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, fitness, insurance, route permits, tax tokens, and compliance with BRTA and other regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and repair costs; prepare and control the transport budget.

  • Implement transport policies, safety standards, and SOPs to minimize risk and ensure safe operations.

  • Coordinate with HR, Admin, Finance, and other departments for transport planning and logistics support.

  • Investigate and report accidents, damages, or violations; take corrective and preventive actions.

  • Liaison with the police station and other government authorities regarding transport issues.

  • Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers, workshops, fuel vendors, and transport service providers.

  • Prepare regular MIS reports on vehicle usage, cost analysis, and performance.
