Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Technical/Engineering
- Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology,Shahjalal University of Science & Technology students will get preference
- Additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context
Montrims Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Engineer for the position of Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Supply Chain (Sourcing). The incumbent will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier development, procurement planning, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of chemical raw materials and production-related inputs to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure chemical raw materials, coatings, and other production-related materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Conduct supplier negotiations regarding pricing, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and supply risks to develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, Commercial, and Finance teams to forecast material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability while maintaining optimum stock levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and chemical safety standards.
- Support import sourcing activities, including supplier communication, documentation, and shipment follow-up.
- Prepare sourcing reports, cost analyses, and procurement performance metrics.
