Job Description

Education

  • Medical Graduate (MBBS) and/or Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Health Systems, or a related discipline

Experience

    • At least 10 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements

  • Age At most 55 years
  • Preferable age below 55 years.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in public health program management, with at least 5 years in a senior management or team leadership role.

  • Experience in tuberculosis programs, preferably involving Public–Private Mix (PPM), engagement of informal/private providers, or donor-funded TB projects.

  • Proven experience working with Government of Bangladesh health systems, particularly the National TB Control Program (NTP)/MBDC.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary field teams.

  • Technical knowledge of TB case detection, referral systems, active case finding (ACF), and patient navigation approaches.

  • Experience in digital health tools, reporting platforms, dashboards, and use of routine program data for decision-making.

  • Excellent skills in program planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and donor compliance.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, coordination, and advocacy skills.


Responsibilities & Context

  • Providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the anticipated TIFA/JSI-supported TB project implemented by SMC.

  • Leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of activities focused on engaging informal first-contact providers.

  • Strengthening TB screening and referral systems in high-burden settings.

  • Supporting integration of digital referral and reporting platforms (e.g., JANAO/SMC TB apps).

  • Improving patient navigation and referral-to-testing completion.

  • Ensuring alignment with national TB strategies, donor requirements, and SMC programmatic standards.

  • Maintaining close coordination with NTP/MBDC, local health authorities, JSI/TIFA, and other relevant stakeholders.
