Job Description

Education

  • Diploma/ Bachelor in Agriculture/ Fisheries/Livestock/ Finance/ Accounting/ Social science/ Economics or any other relevant subject from any UGC approved reputed university or institute

Experience

    • At least 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

• Know motor bike riding and must have valid license

• Academic knowledge in Agriculture/Fisheries/Livestock or relevant subject

• Problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges in livelihood systems.

• Good communication skill, Computer skill, Report writing skill

Responsibilities & Context

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This position is responsible for the on-ground implementation, monitoring, and coordination of Village Savings and Loan Schemes (VSLS) and Farmers Field School (FFS) activities in the assigned area. The role focuses on financial literacy, agricultural training, community mobilization, capacity building, reporting and proper documentation, ensuring project objectives are achieved at the community level while adhering to organizational policies and safeguarding standards.

VSLS & Financial Inclusion:

  • Mobilize and form VSLS groups; provide training on savings, credit, and financial literacy.

  • Facilitate SHGs (GIGA and IIGA) reactivation and support community engagement in financial planning.

  • Ensure the proper functioning of APEX committees and promote participatory approaches for community ownership.

Farmers Field School (FFS) & Agriculture Support:

  • Conduct FFS sessions on improved and climate-resilient farming practices.

  • Facilitate farmers in establishing demo plots, nurseries, and lead farmer initiatives.

  • Support research and trial plots and ensure quality production of on-farm products.

Field Implementation & Coordination:

  • Implement project activities according to the DIP and organizational guidelines.

  • Organize trainings, meetings, and workshops for VSLS and FFS members.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SHG members, local leaders, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Manage field-level logistics, including distribution and proper use of project materials and resources.

Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation:

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting of all field activities.

  • Address community concerns and resolve conflicts arising during project implementation.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
