Additional Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a waiter/waitress (preferably in a cafe or casual dining setting)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic math skills for handling cash and POS systems

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays


Responsibilities & Context

  • Greet and welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).

  • Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff.

  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.

  • Check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining area.

  • Handle customer payments and provide change or receipts as necessary.

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and cafe team members.

  • Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
